That's the major difference between WA and HoFo. We quickly get rid of the junk so our community is less infected with undesireable members. :D

Unfortunately, there are still some around here, but they will be dealt with eventually. ;)

    Eddie,

I am a member to both. I find the tone over here to be a little lighter and more condusive to friendly replies and fun banter.

HoFo seems to have a broader range of people with information, but seems to be a little edgier. I've seen posts where people got really mad at people for posting "secrets" about particular nuances of carriers.

I do like the carrier specific forums they have over there, but otherwise, I prefer WA.

    You threatening me? ;)

Even within HoFo, the forums are so diverse... Look at the Nextel Forum compared to, say the Alltel Forum.

I "live" here and "visit" hofo for alot of the reasons mentioned above. Though the VZW forum tends to have some wonderfull info.

I visit both and like both for their differences. Threads can get a little out of hand at HF, but all you have to do is ignore those particular threads and not contribut to the madness.

HoFo is really tough to moderate. First hand experienced talking here! You are pretty much on your own and there are many people difficult to deal with. The good thing is that among all the crazyness, there are gurus that have lots of info that I can use to bring here and help those who may find HoFo too overwhelming.

If I had to compare the two forums I would compare HoFo to NYC and WA to NJ. NJ is more quiet, life runs a bit slower and there is less crowd and people are more friendly. In NYC, you can expect anything, people are rude, always on the run, it is crowded but you can find lots and lots of everything.
