Just spoke to my sister in Washington. One of my brothers just got Voicestream. Her complaint: "It echos a lot!"

Apparently he calls her on his Voicestream phone to her landline and the echo is so bad it is hard to follow his speech.

Sounds like a call to VS customer care is in order. I ran into that a few months ago in my area - on a couple of towers on both my phones. I called in a report to have them check out the towers (there's a function called an echo canceller on there) and within a week it was gone, never to return.

Try lowering the volume of the wireless unit down... This might be it. Especially with gsm type wireless phones....
