    There are three skins available for these forums. See the lower left corner for a drop-down box where you can choose.

    The three skins are:
    • WirelessAdvisor (default)
    • Ambience
    • Surge

    I want to get some idea if people are using a skin other than the deafult.

    I usually use the default skin, but for fun I wanted to refresh my memory on what the skins look like. Has Surge changed? Also, will more skins be made?

    I like the default colors, it lets me know i'm at WA... ;)

    i used the surge when i want the lights off... :browani:

    I just use the default....because that's really what I've always used....and I AM a creature of habit. In fact, I've never even looked at the other skins! :eek:

    Don't take that the wrong way :O I just like the regular look.

    I mainly use the default, since it seems easiest on the eyes. I find Surge too hard to read.

    I've been using Ambience since day 1. The others aren't bad, though. Maybe I'll switch for a week just to change things up.

    When is the "Cell Sites" link in the top bar going to get added to Ambience and Surge? Seems like the admins are favoring the Default users.

    Just looked and all skins DO have the "Cell Sites" quicklink.

    I always like the old forums because you could make your own skins over there.
    I have almost always used surge.

    Today... I figured it wasn't the best to have my lastname on a pulic forum whenever I posted. Besides, I always had to look over my back to make sure my Wife, Supervisor, or others never saw the KORNO I posted... LOL!!! ;) Admin hooked me up, & Gamer was kind enough to hook up the name change on my Avatar...

    There won't be any additional new skins for the forums. In fact, part of the reason for the poll and asking for comments is that we might remove the two extra skins.

    The problem is that every time we want to add a new feature, it has to be done three times. Just a recent, minor example is the buttons added for "cell sites". What it means is that it takes 3x the time and money to add one new feature.
    That time and money may be better spent adding 3x the number of new features to just the one skin.

    Still mulling it over.............

    I ended up doing the same thing on my personal site/forum. I had 8 or so different styles at one time, but now have it down to one. It cuts out a lot of the maintenance, plus your site's look/feel is the same for everyone, and easy to recognize as being your site.

    The default WA forums have their own distinct look like the colors etc.

    What is the testing child? I'm using it now and I like it better than the normal skin. No stupid banner ad :D. Just Google which is fine.
