VZW reception in Tigard/Capitol Hills, OR. Local DigitalChoice

    Motorola v120c
    I have Local DigitalChoice plan based in Portland OR with Verizon Wireless on a Motorola v120c handset.

    I have the latest PRL, but have terrible receptions in certain parts of Tigard and Capitol Hills area. Usually I have four to five bars, but as soon as I hit send, bars quickly drops down and switch into analog or call becomes horribly distorted and drops.

    Anyone else experience the same?

    I'm sorry ...no I haven't heard of anything going on in that area. My friend who lives in Cornelius however had a Motorola 120c phone and wasn't having lots of luck..or I should say he wasn't having consistant service. He switched to a Kyocera 2325 and hasn't had a problem.

    In my past...*228 didn't help me that much when I was on a local plan.

    The only thing I can suggest is going in and setting the phone to digital only... then it couldn't go into analog. You might get a better signal.. just a thought.

    I was in and around those areas a month ago and did not have any problems I would guess it is either the phone or a site issue?

    That's a very large area. Please be more specific about the locations where you're having trouble.
