VZW Push-to-Talk this week??? (Read this first!)

Just a thought....

I just looked at phonescoop, with the date changes and all....What do you suppose the chances are that the V60p was having problems...not the systems...and the date change means they will launch with the SAMSUNG and NOT the Motorola because it's screwed up? Just a theory.

 

Or maybe they are getting bombarded with inquiries about it and figured it was one way to shut everyone up.

I see some things beginning to stir...I.E. Some new activity flurries seem to be taking place with certain folks at VZW. I think we might see/hear something real SOON. I'm starting to get pumped again....

 

Nope, I worked today. I just have a list of about 10 people I check in with daily.

 

I'm betting on Tuesday. They love Tuesdays. Of course, I see no new changes on the website this morning, and I don't recall them ever launching on fridays.
Yesterday, a friend of mine called Cust. Care 3 times. Each time he said he was a biz owner about to buy 30 nextels, but heard PTT was coming out. Each time they said "Yes, August", but no date. One girl was strongly advising him to hold off on getting the Nextels.

 

Well, Ladies and Germs...it is official...it ain't coming out TODAY. I have been officially "Duped" (Bows head in shame). I will admit though, in the back of my head all along I wondered "Why would they launch on a Friday? They never launch stuff on friday." However...I am stil convinced it will be this month. I have no new sources...my hats off to Verizon..they definately did a great job in plugging all the leaks. BUT...I am not through yet! New ideas..New ideas..I still think it is soon. I don't buy the phonescoop thing for one second. Who gives them the projected release dates? THE CARRIERS. Duh. Looks like I'll just have to go meet some customer care girl in a chat room and sleep with her to get the info (though my girlfriend may not think that PTT warrants infidelity nor appreciate it one bit).

Do not fret my children! The flags are still there. And in the words of one "higher up" the totem pole: "I have no idea...what they told me is one day soon I will get a phone call saying we are launching tommorrow". So, unless your "sources" are district managers or higher..Don't believe what they tell you! No one really knows! I think they might even be putting out false info to different groups to try and identify where the leaks are coming from. It's a conspiracy I tell you! The Government is plotting with VZW and Alien visitors to use PTT to take over the planet! (wild hyterical laughter..) ..mumbles....hate this jacket....sleeves are all funny and theres too many buckles....

 

HOMEWORK: For anyone choosing to partake: What say we put our collective web browsers together and look for ANYTHING pertaining to the ongoing Vrizon/Nextel suit over the "PTT" trademark. Perhaps clues can be found. I have to wonder if they had boxes all printed up that maybe had to be changed in some way because of the lawsuit.

 

Please...never imply that I work for those f***ers. If it weren't for them, maybe we would have it by now..who knows? Anyway, I am probably the one going the most screwy over this mess. Every day I try new things to come up with info. All I can get is that it is still just over the horizon, not "end-of-the-year" like they love to tell people. D@mn I want that phone...I'm ticked off that I lost $10.00 today over the launch date.

As far as my icon goes...looking for cool new animated icons. All the cool ones I found are too big (even though they don't look it) to upload to here.

Yeah, I went into the Nextel store today just to see what they would say. Sure enough, one guy was like "Ha-Ha..Where's your Push-to-Talks at?" Yeah, Haha. Let me tell you what is really ha-ha. They went on to say that they heard (They pray it's true) That we had a 7-second latency, or heard that you record the message first (???) etc. What I realized is this: They really don't know the particulars of our PTT....at all! LOL. This is too good! All the stuff we can't even tell you guys yet is still secret. When it comes out their jaws are gonna hit the floor and they will "soil their shorts."
They think it is gonna be a big flop. I saw it work and it was d@mn near instant. And there are some SWEET improvements over what they have. So laugh it up kiddies. It may not be out now, but it will be. I can't wait to see what the nay-sayers will have to say then.

We don't know that it has been delayed again...The Aug 1st date was a caculated guess based on several pieces of info...however history says VZ likes to launch new products on Tuesdays. So we'll see.

As far as the website search goes: That is a lot of info! What did you use to search for that? Not bad! I'm sure that Corey guy will appreciate you posting his phone number to the world! LOL. Better edit that before they yank the whole post!

 

Verizon would never delay the launch of their biggest product ever just because of Circuit City. I did not know CC was getting Verizon. I hate CC. I'm a Best Buy Fan.

Stopped by the 'ol Corporate VZ store 2day, to pick up a Leather case for my a530 (which we don't even sell for some d@mn reason) and what I was told was this: "They won't even ship us the phones until all the lawsuit stuff with Nextel is solved" Take that info for what it's worth, but at least it is believeable. She (The Rep) didn't seem to think Tuesday would be anything special. F#@&!

It was a theory we had all along, just hoping for it not to be true. The Lawsuits. F___ing Nextel, You worthless ______'s. And if it's true you know their lawyers wil drag that thing out forever. Meanwhile, Sprint will learn from it and never use any words that sounds even remotely like PTT. Which reminds me...That stupid Nextel rep today laughing about it, "HaHA Yeah man, we trademarked everything!" It's been awhile since I wanted to hit someone, but today was one of those days. They think it is soooo funny. I guess we'll see who has the last laugh. BTW...did you know VZW added a million and a half customers last quarter alone?? And that is without PTT. How many did you add, Nextel?

 

If it goes on too long Verizon could just say "screw you, we'll call it Quick-Connect" and swerve right around the whole issue. Nextel can call it whatever they want, but they can't change the fact that THEY STILL SUCK!


BTW...I am trademarking "Quick Connect" Tommorrow morning...
