I have had AT&T for years, and have never had a signal at my in-laws' summer cottage in Kittery Point, ME. My father-in-law has a Verizon cellphone but rarely uses it. It's an older model, and he's never gotten a signal in the cottage either.

I would switch my family plan and try to talk my older daughter into switching (from AT&T) if I could be sure we'd get a signal in the house.

I've heard promising things about the Unicel acquisition. Does anyone have first-hand experience along Route 103 in Kittery Point? It looks great on the VZW coverage map online, but I don't want to go through all this trouble and not be able to make a call from the cottage.

    Thanks for reading!
    Greg

I was just in Kittery & York, Maine back in late February, on a day trip from the Albany, NY area.

I had great Verizon coverage in York Beach, Kittery & Ogunquit
and along the Maine Turnpike / US Hwy 1.

Chances are that Verizon coverage will be reliable in Southern Maine for you too.

Well, if you switch to Verizon and want to switch back, you have 30 days to give the phones back and get a refund
