When I got my phone it had a trial of VZ Navigator which has since expired. Since I keep reading about flashing back to the VZ Monster flash if you screw up the Alltell flash takes your phone back to fresh out of the box condition would that hence reset my VZ Navigator trial period?

I'm still weighing the pros and cons on the Alltell V3M flash especially since I'm not sure if the Alltell firmware has a media player or not. If I could just reflash my phone once and a while to keep a free trial of the navigation app it might be worthwhile staying w/ the VZ firmware.

Yes, every time u flash with the monster, whether Alltel OR Verizon, u get a free trial back on the phone. Now, each time u flash, u most likely will need to keep calling CS to have them reset ur data. So a handful of times every 10 days or however long the trial is, might be tedious. It might also raise a red flag with them.

    Hi- my first post!!

I have a razr VCm and have been playing with seem editing. In my haste I wrote a wrong seem to 041a which is what pkseem starts with. Can anyone tell me where I can get a unedited version of 041a seem. I know my phone uses seem 2742 vice 041a what I don't know is what damage I caused, can it be undone without a flash of the firmware. Whenever I try to use any type of message I get a fatal failure and phone gets really weird for awhile. Any help would be appreciated. I do have backup of the original seem2742 but not 041a.

    Thanks, Ken

Solved my own problem by flashing with firmware and redid my phone to out of the box settings, everything is good again.

Well, 041a is blank when I read it from my phone, so I'm guessing there isn't supposed to be a seem there on the V3m. I saved the seem anyway, and I'll attach the file here for you.

Hopefully that will help, but you might want to ask someone more knowledgeable than I before you try it, though. Maybe try Cincyball.

Oh. Well, nevermind then. I'm glad it's fixed.
