I recently set up my VX7000 with free WAP using info I found in one of the many threads in the WA forums. It seems to work OK, but I have a couple of questions: 1) I am unable to successfully log in to my Yahoo! account over the phone. I previously had VZW mobile web service and it worked fine, but since switching to the free WAP settings it will not allow me to log in. Anyone else experience this problem? Yahoo insists that my login information is invalid - it's not. 2) How do I bookmark a site? The online manual I downloaded from the LG site says if I press and hold the '#' key it will allow me to bookmark the site, but when I do so nothing happens. I am using firmware version T70VZV08 and browser 6.2.3.1.174. Any help would be appreciated.
Well i am asking for a little help here if you don't mind. What are Exactly all the settings you are using to access your free WAP?? Like Homepage, proxy address and port settings? Thanks in advance!!! :biggrin: ~Rich~
My primary and secondary IP is 66.250.69.6. Primary port is 8080, secondary port is 9201. I currently have the homepage set as http://wap.google.com.
OK i see your problem there. I recently got the free WAP with the same homepage and tried to login to yahoo. Same results but after trying awhile I realized that i have my yahoo information saved to my browser so I was always logged in. Logged off of my PC and was able to log on my phone!! And as far as bookmarking I have the same problem. I basically just set my homepage to http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/ and made a new yahoo ID sign in from there!! hope this helps and thanks again for the WAP info!! ~Rich~
