VX6100 beeps CONSTANTLY when using data cable

___I bought a data cable and car adapter from everydaysource on ebay for real cheap (less than 8 bucks). The cable works great for transferring files and it charges the phone too. Even came with a driver disc. However, when the phone charged fully the cable continued to try to charge it and the phone would say "battery is full....battery charging.....battery is full...." on and on like that and it would beep a lot. Do other cables know when to stop charging the battery?
___So I left it plugged in until I finished transferring all my pics but then I decided I would never use the data cable to charge the phone, just to be safe and prevent it from breaking the battery. Now my AC adapter is inexplicably broken, it does nothing when I plug it in. When I use the USB cable now to charge the phone the indicator moves and it says charging but it continually beeps no matter what and it is very annoying. I tried turning the phone off, just to shut it up, and it continually power cycles the phone (turns off, boots up, turns off). (edit: turns out my crappy USB hub was the cause of that, I plug the cable directly into the PC and there is no beeping)
___At any rate, this cable said it worked on 6100, 7000, and 8000 models and it does work, it just seems a little ghetto. Definitely better than paying those @#$%ers at Verizon 50 bucks for the same thing .
