    VX4400 - VM & Text Alerts

This may be a silly question, but one of the things I liked about the old StarTAC was that when I got a voicemail or text message it would beep once like every 3 minutes until I received the message. Is there a way to make the VX4400 do this? I cannot find any option like this anywhere.

The reminder alerts for VM and test messages in the VX4400 is only supported in the vibe and remind option. As soon as an alert is received, the display will remain in the state it is until there is a user interaction invoked. LG opted not to support the tone reminder due to the dispaly alone should be sufficient enough as information for the user.

LG didn't plan this out very well. There is an option for "loud beeps" notice it says beepS which i assumed would be like my old Kyocera and it'd beep every 5 mins or so, till you got the message. It obviously doesn't work that way which irritates me b/c i really liked that feature.

Maybe they corrected this in one of the new software updates? Can anyone with the new software answer this?

I was told by the LG rep this feature is not fixed in the first sw revs (05,06) but will be fixed in the next one. This info is current as of early March. I agree you really need this feature and after buying 10 phones for the office, LG assured us this feature would be implemented.

Really? That's good news! Did they say when it was going to be released?
