I haven't been able to receive text messages for at least 48 hours Is it just my phone or is the server down ? Indianapolis office serves my area
Call Voicestream @ 1-800-937-8997 and see what's up. They can tell what's going on more than anyone on here can.
Oh Yeah, tell them to check your account if they don't find anything wrong, to make sure that the SMS-Incoming feature wasn't erased.
<< Call Voicestream @ 1-800-937-8997 and see what's up. They can tell what's going on more than anyone on here can. >> I hear you, and 90% I get a knowledgeable, friendly, helpful CS rep I discussed this w rep saying myiStream news alerts were not going out at that time and there was nothing she could do about SMS unless I was unable to rec from another VS phone 'specially disappointed in inablilty to send test message from CS center ! I mean rep from local VS retail store ended up sending me test msg As I said, this was very untypical of usual interactions of mine w CS
The rep was just being lazy 'amphibian.' They can send a receive messages. They can run test and everything on the messages that you send to them. On the Nokia 3390 you can send extra, extra long messages to other phone, but it breaks up the message and then puts it back together when the person receives it. I forgot what this is called, but it's in the specs of the phone. Anyways, for a couple of days I noticed that I couldn't do this anymore, I could only send regular sized messages. I called Voicestream and the customer care rep couldn't solve the problem so she put me in tough with a tech. Me and the tech communicated for about 3 days through voicemail, text messages, and over the home phone until we got the problem fixed. She did a whole bunch of stuff to get it fixed, so much, that when it was fixed, she didn't know what actually fixed the problem. The bottom line to this is that the customer care and techs are very friendly and do their best to get whatever the problem is solved. If you do not receive cusomter satisfaction from a rep, then just politely say you fixed the problem yourself and say thank you and hang-up, then just call back and talk to someone else.
