Is anyone using (paying $2.99/month) for Visual Voicemail on VZW? I'm wondering if VZW is going to continue charging for this, or throw it in with the iPhone. It was pretty integral feature when the iPhone first came out--it would be odd for Apple to let it be non-standard. Does it work well? Is it implemented as a VZW app currently on Android?
In my case, absolutely not. Until or unless it's free, then I will. Otherwise forget it. I think Verizon should change it's name to Nickel & Dime Wireless (though that may be too cheap a name for them...).
No, I dont pay for Visual voicemail... I am not in the mood for extra fees. I don't get many voicemails anyway, so it's pointless.
I don't use it either. I have a Google Voice account - does the same thing - for free. I think I have invites if you need one, PM me.
I have a Google Voice account too, but I enjoy the "built in" feel. I mostly posed the question because I suspect that VZW is not selling a lot of VVM, and it would be nice if Apple got them to just throw it in as part of the normal bill for voice and data. It's ridiculous that someone is charging huge royalties on it in the first place, though, but I'd rather it sucks for the carrier than for the customers that could use it.
