"Virtual Girlfriend" for Wireless Phones

    "Virtual Girlfriend" for Wireless Phones

    Hong Kong company Artificial Life is developing a "virtual girlfriend" to bring to video capable wireless phones. The animated girlfriend will appear on handset screens and will require a lot of attention, including virtual flowers and diamonds. Users who subscribe to the game will send text messages to the girlfriend and purchase gifts for her. If she's happy she will respond by voice, if not she won't talk to the user. The company plans to launch English, Japanese and Korean versions of the service in November 2004. (Source: Dow Jones Newswire)

    That type of stuff is popular in Asia (too many repressed males).

    Reminds me of DOA Beach Vollyball for the XBox. In the game you play vollyball while at the same time keeping your partner happy by buying her things like gifts, swimsuits, and food. I bought it for the graphics and eye candy but it's too time consuming trying to figure out what your partner likes.

    The best is when you completely ignore your partner and she doesn't even bother showing up for the match.

    It is good to be back. I am back in Michigan until Wednesday then I am on the road again and won't be back to the following Tuesday. I have been gone for most of the last few months and when I am home I am either working or sleeping. I have heard all kinds of crazy rumors from several of the forums that I visit that I left the country, I was dead (by several different causes), and all kinds of entertaining things about my absence. Rest assured I am still alive and well, just busy as hell and not online much anymore.
