Verizon Wireless new PRL Update 50800

It must not be available in Northern Virginia yet, at least not in Fairfax. I just did *228 and got updated from 50744 to 50798. Maybe it depends on the phone or location where one does the update.

 

I just received the new 50800 PRL update today in NE, PA., and I'm on the AC2 EVDO plan.

Non EVDO AC1 = 50797

EVDO AC2 = 50800

Non EVDO AC2 = 50798

 

Thanks to XFF at Howard here is the 1 change in the PRL- basically it won't affect the end user...

Here's the only change from PRL version 50768 to PRL version 50800:

* The south-atlantic GEO (VA/NC/SC/GA/FL) and the southeast/southcentral GEO (southern NM/TX/OK/AR/LA/MS/AL/TN/VA-1/western FL) which were painstakingly separated in PRL version 50539 less than a year ago were - you guessed it - merged back together.

That's it! Nothing else to report.

Anyway to look what's in the new PRL list ? I have been trying to get VZ and their service to work properly in Thunder Bay, Ontario. VZ has their head in their rearend and always says it's the TB towers but the provider in TB has said VZ is lacking the PRL. It's supposed to be 16418. I just updated my phone to the 50798 PRL list.

VZ now says my software may be out of date. That's V26x_1.0.2BR on a v265 phone and I need to get it flashed.

either way they are making me nuts. Been dealing with this for a year.

Depending on what phone you have, you can use QPST or PST to strip the PRL from the phone and look at it.
Corolada PRL Page
has PRLs on it, and there are various programs, as mentioned above, that are able to open/edit/strip/upload PRLs to/from your phone.
