Anyone who gets home and finds they have no cellphone coverage deserves that fate for not doing a little research. A smart consumer would not rely on coverage maps alone. I'm sure that has happened to you many times considering your choice of carriers.
Many VZW Customers even if they Don't Have Home Coverage it's OK for them due to their Belief that it's the Best.
And where is your proof on that? On what base are you making this argument? Not every customer is as stupid as you portray them to be.
That would be me and yes its still the best for me, because I know that VZW is not going to let me go. If I went to another National provider they would end my contact early because I was making too many calls in where places that they don't want me to call, and that would be violation of contract Verizon is never the best for ALL
Agent you stood up (i know you're a Man), Now Macse and Smarty got their Proof. Other VZW customers don't want to Stand up for Fear of Being attack by them.
Anybody, even you, knows that no one carrier is best for all. So this is proof that in the corn fields Verizon has no coverage. Come on Verizon customers bring it on.
The map is deceiving. According to Verizon's coverage map the area of detail you show is Verizon's extended network. If you lived in that zone I don't imagine Verizon would sell you service. If they did sell you service with a zip in extended network coverage area why would they care?
i'm certainly not bashing on Verizon..........they are actually really greaty around where i live.......if you think cell phone service sucks in your area........then maybe you should move to the New England states.........we never seem to have much of a problem up here.
Are you sure about that Smarty...we've got Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, & Western Mass. All of which are not very easy areas to cover (thank you roaming agreements) . Verizon worked very well for me in the Boston area when I had them. They've built a pretty darn good network overall, and i wouldnt have switched if it wasnt for the fact that i cant roam internationally b/c of CDMA. I like hearing both sides of the story and lets face it, Verizon is expensive, & as time goes on and sprint and t-mo improve their networks (cingy is on par), they're gonna need a lil more than just "the most reliable network" to keep people from getting "in"
thats a very cruel irony............and around here in the parts of Reading and the Greater Berks area..........VZW is doing just fine.............and yes Tmo is getting their UMTS...........Sprint is upgrading to Rev A and getting QChat..............Cingular is working on their UMTS network............and they are all working on their UMS service to make their coverage area even bigger.............competition just gets harder........and harder........like weight cycling..........you become the best and then someone else comes out with something better...........and then you become the best again but it was a lot harder this time...........eventually they wont be able to do it...........somwhere along the line..........companies will run out of options
Let's just hope that isnt soon. Since we dont have the best wireless infastructure as a nation, we see how the other nations do with a certain type of technology (i.e. Japan and Korea w/ 4G) and exploit it ourselves. Based on that, the wireless companies here have got a lot more ahead of them before they run out of steam. Back on topic: Down with VeriZon cause they dont have street level coverage maps!!!!! :browani:
What exactly does the T Mobile map show that other maps don't? It shows some Xs, some street names, and a general shading depicting how many bars you should get on your phone. That's merely a gimmick. The number of bars do not show phone actual reception. Different brands have different specs for measurement. You might even have two people with the same phone standing next to each other with a different amount of bars. The map has a few more bells and whistles but can actually be more deceiving. I looked at the coverage map for my address and it showed a big blue X on my block. What does that mean? There are no towers on my block. While The T Mobile map looks a little more important it does not give any more vital information than the map of any other carrier. I would agree though that I might considerT Mobile if it wasn't the number 4 carrier in most areas.
Is there any way possible that you could provide a reasonable, knowledgeable, well thought out answer to this forum?
what excuses?...............they have them..........they just havent been publicized.............there are no excuses involved
this is a forum of facts..........not random opinions that have no gold backing........you can't just make random accusations....
Well if Verizon has the most reliable network, why not show it off? The day Verizon does that, it will be like the unveiling of the Deathstar.
i dont know........you see i think its proof enough that when you look at a jpeg of their coverage and they say that the white parts and youre having a hard time finding white parts in areas that matter..... .........hey thats evidence enough for me
Well maybe Verizon was listening to this whole thread. Because if you check out the verizon test site testman.verizonwireless.com and head to the coverage viewer there will now be 9 zoom levels. I'm hoping the viewer is in its early stages of development and will become comparable to other carriers.
Thanks for the info bretto...you can get in real close now. We wanted a street level coverage map, looks like we got it.
