for the 621,658,685,514 time.........nobody is bashing........did you even watch that YouTube clip?............and that clip was actually really funny :lmao:
Since you are not a Verizon customer why do you care? Wedon't need a street level map to know which carrier has the best coverage.
very good point.........the street level coverage maps tell who is good in a specific area but we can look at the nationwide maps and know who is the better carrier
What is VZW Hiding by Not Making Coverage Maps? How would a Customer Know if VZW has Coverage? So it's All Guess Work.
Wirelessly posted (Q's Mobile Device: SCH-A930 UP.Browser/6.2.3.2 (GUI) MMP/2.0) Verizon has a trial period... The customer has 14 days to decide whether the service works. I'd hope that someone would fully test out the service during this period.
I think it would be good for all carriers to provide street level maps, to help consumers do comparison shopping online and have a better idea of coverage. Even though I am a Cingular customer, I like to check the other carriers coverage to compare in the area's I need it, in case I decide to switch to another carrier. Even though they have the slogan "The most Reliable Network" it doesn't mean it works everywhere for everyone, I know of some dead spots in my town with Verizon, as well as other carriers & again it would help people to make good decisions prior to buying them. As for the 14 day trial, that's an excellent thing, It would be better as a 30 day trial, and people do need to use the phone for that time period to make sure it works. The problem can come when you can't travel to another State where you go to visit friends & family to try the service, where a street level map may help in your decision process, I have family in VA & FL, as well as our west Jersey, I know by these maps which of the 3 that offer it are better choices over the other, I can't say for sure about Verizon though, and if it wasn't for here I really wouldn't know, but with the forum & the people here I do know how their coverage is in these locations.
With so many dead zones it's easy for the world to know it without street level maps. So you admit that while T Mobile has better maps Verizon has better coverage?
Wow, yea I'd say so. Let's not turn this into war "whos got what now cause ive got more towers than you do in my area..."
VZW esteem should not be Low just because VZW does Not have a Coverage Map. Many Places in Metro wher T-Mobile is Better than VZW.
yes....no company can work perfectly in every area that they provide service........but the point is that if Verizon were to have a street level map then people would feel more confident ordering service with them.......cuz then the consumer knows that they will get service and this all depends on the accuracy of the map
The original quote said YOUR posts lower the esteem of silver senior members. Maybe I should have said credibility.
Do you think most consumers care if they are looking at a street level or national coverage map? I think not.
we techies do.........there are some really stupid consumers out there who will buy anything that is "signed" by someone who looks credible..........but believe it or not..........there are some intelligent people out there who do know to look for facts that are solid.........not half-truths............i can say that for my mom and my aunt.........they both ask a lot of questions before they get something and the street level maps are just that extra reassurance that people like them need.....
Jones and SmArTeStChIlD421, your post formats blow my mind! LOL Anyway yeah street level coverage maps will eventually be required as network saturation occurs I would think. VZW's maps are not that bad. They give a few streets, it's better then our Alltel's coverage map And Alltel's definitely not hiding anything...
yeah.......your prolli right.........you can zoom in pretty far on VZWs maps just not as close as someone would like and yes when you've posted over 1.6 thousand posts like this......it just becomes easier to type this way
I agree with your point but what do you think the tech to dummies ratio is for people who buy cell phones?
Not why are they not making them...but why are they holding them back from the public? Don't inside engineers have access to them?
T-Mobile Street Maps has the Most Zoom Level, while Cingular has the Least Zoom and the smallest Map.
Well that is stupid if you ask me, why would they want to be behind Verizon. Oh I forgot, they like following Verizon on most things, they don't know how to lead in some area's. Usually if your the #1 carrier or want to be, you would like to set precedence and let others follow you. So unless there is a mandate to show street level coverage, Verizon may decide they don't want to offer it & Cingular will just be happy to leave their maps like they are.
sayed pretty bluntly.....and the sarcasm helps too :browani: buthe does have a point nonetheless......if Cingy were to wait for VZW to come out with coverage maps before they would refine their own........they could get into a deep rut........people may order service and then get really sucky coverage........then they cancel in the trial period and then tell everyone how horrible Cingular is
VZW Map is even as Vague as Possible, There's one born everyday. A new Customer signs up, finds out he has No coverage Inside His House, (you don't have Coverage inside your House but you are in a Most Reliable Network) a Great TV/radio Ads will convince him of a Great Network. Look at VZW ADS, It's the Network. If the ADS are great the Network are great. Sprint Ads are Lame compared to VZW ads.
