Verizon Texting question

that would be something back in Verizon's systems and something you would have to call in about because if it is happening to everyone then it prolli is either the tower or something wrong with Verizon's behind the scenes hardware

 

The delivery confirmation from Verizon phones only works if the message is sent to other Verizon phones and possibly email addresses. If you are sending messages to Verizon phones, I'm not sure what to tell you.

 

I have also noticed how the check mark in my "sent" box has not shown up. So I never know if its delivered.

 

I dont know the date off hand but verizon is doing away with the message confirmation check mark in the sent messages folder on the phones. they are confident in their network and are slowly fading out that feature.

 

wouldn't you think that that sort of thing is just a simple delivery report and the phones are programmed to recognize delivery reports as different from regular SMSs and they translate them into the check mark? it would make sense considering that Verizon uses completely different software.......they put themselves in a position to do that......

cuz i know my friend has a RAZR and i don't know how it works but the message will send and it will be in the outbox and it will be checked as sent but then a few seconds later another message will come up......its not an SMS delivery report but an info message from the phone saying that the message was sent and the date and time.......kinda neat but i remember with my Nokia 6103 on T-Mobile it wasnt like that cuz i got and SMS as a delivery report

 

Verizon is phasing that out. BGR posted this a few days ago.

Contact verizon, if it is happening to everyone it is definitely something wrong with their servers, not your phone. Hope everything works out.
