I'm on my 3rd Razor phone from VZW in a little over a month and have done no hacking at all.First phone purchased I got a 256 MB card and filled about 220 MB of music on it.I also purchased a reader so I could put pics from CPU on the card.Whenever a got pics I moved them from the card to the phones memory so I could use them as wallpaper usually sports stuff and chick's off the web.Well I was setting a pic to be used as wallpaper and the phone blinked and shut off.I tried to start it and It would freeze as it showed my number.I read on the net this happens to people who hack their phone well I did'nt so I felt confident taking it in to Verizon.Wrong the moisture dot was red which voided the warranty so I had to pay full price for a new one.Well this time I told myself don't put any tune's on the phone memory and just use the phone memory for pics, the card for music and don't use more than 10 Megs of the phones memory(it holds 20 Megs so anything less than 10 should be safe.Well I had used about 7 megs of pics when I was trying to change my wallpaper to a different pic and the same thing happened. This happened in less than a week. This time they had no choice but to give me a new one because it happened inside of the 15 days plus the moisure dot was white.I showed them my old phone and the current one were doing the same thing so the Moisture indicator was crap. They told me they had never seen that happen before to the phone BS.Currently I have the new one and the frozen one since they would'nt touch it.I'd like to find out how to get in via my cpu and reset the old one and give it to my brother who could use it.It won't connect to my cpu which from I'm reading must be able to do to edit stuff inside the phone. My new one connects but not the old one.Sorry for long post but needed to explain my problems in detail. Thanks for any help

I would flash it. It couldnt hurt it since it is just sitting there and u have a replacement. There is a monster file for the v3m that puts the stock firmware back on the phone. It will wipe out whatever is on the phone, but it will get it back to like it was when it came out. You would need to adjust the NAM settings, and a few other things, but if u search around, u can fid out what u need.

Thanks for the reply.I'm great with CPU's but have done pratically nothing with a Cell phone so I have no idea where to get that monster file to try to even start to try to flash the phone and then have no idea how to go about it.I've read a million diferent things to try and have downloaded a 63 MB file from Hong Kong it.It's named V3m VZW flash 1.09.It is a SHX file which is an extension I have never heard of and don't know how to put it on my phone since it won't connect to my CPU.Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks the village idiot

Yea, thats an upgrade flash, but its no good. We want the 1.05 shx monster. But if ur phone wont connect, u probably wont be able to flash it anyways. Its a pretty convoluted process. I would be happy to get it back to working for you if i could.

OK well I got a question for all of you...I have a bunch of songs on my micro sd card and it has been working fine for the longest time. Just recently after i added a few more songs and then went back to my music or manage music my phone freezes up and restarts. I cant get to any of my music or even acces the manage music screen. When i take the card out i can go to manage music. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this, i dont care if i lose all my music, i can just put it back on, but can anyone help??
    thank you!

I'd try taking all but maybe a couple files off and then put it back in the phone and see if it's still freezing. It's crazy that you're having so many freezing problems. Could it be some sort of virus?

I dont know, it prolly could be a virus but i couldnt tell you for sure. But yea i would like to try to take some files off (are you talking about songs), but i cant get to the music to even take them off or delete them. If i try to sync to the computer it also freezes up. I have noticed tho that my battery has been running out quite fast. Could a bad battery have anything to do with it freezing?? I just dont know...

I was thinking you could take them off by taking the sd card out and putting it directly into your computer. Then take most of the songs off and try it back in your phone. So yeah, when I said files I meant most of the songs you have on your memory card. Do you have a way to plug your sd card right into your comp? If you can't do this, can you get to the menu in your phone where you can format the sd card? Because formatting removes all the files too, so that would be a way to get the files off if you can't access your music through your phone or by syncing with your computer.

Glad u have it working Spartan, good job poly :D

Did you format your card in ur phone before putting files on it? Or did u plug it in and start adding?

Anybody reading this, you should always format the card IN the phone first so that the correct file tree structure gets put on the card. It should help avoid potential problems.

Yea i formated the card in my phone first, but the card is still being....retarded lol. I can only fill the SD card to about half or it jams up and freezes again and then i have to format it all over again. Kinda irritating, anyone know why this would happen? Any guesses?

Mine was full, only 5 mb free, and it never froze up. Do u have a lot of text messages on ur phone? That could be sucking up some memory. If not, it very well could just be a defect with the phone, and Verizon might be able to help you.

That's very strange, but I have heard of other people having problems after filling the card to a certain point. Where did you get the card? Could be some problem with the card..?

Hmm I do have a lot of txt messages, i will try erasing them, but do you think that will have any effect with the card. The txt messages are saved to like the internal storage instead of the card...but yea i will try, everything is worth a shot at this point lol

I got my card from a verizon wireless store, so its not like fake or anything, but idk maybe i damaged it somehow. Although i cant think of any way i could have...its kinda irritating paying for the 512KB but only being able to use it like a 256KB lol

If you got it right from verizon maybe you should take it back and let them know what's going on? Couldn't hurt to try a new card, if they'll exchange it for you.
