CincyBall dunno if you remember but you helped me pull that PRL off my unflashed Vzw V3m so I'm fairly certain that's it's the newest one. I did the ESN swap earlier this evening and now my EV symbol is stuck on 1X, and still got the same errors with the browser. Yes Vzw Homepage is subscription free and air-time free, it just asks you for your zipcode for some reason before displaying anything, I am pretty sure it even tells you right on the homepage that it's totally free so if you got time please let me know!

Drg0nz0 hrm. I really can't think of what I did to cause this error and I can't find anyone that has or had the same thing happen. =(

I had it happen to me a long while back. Have you tried to replace your browser file? If you look at the browser file, is your phone number in the username?

Yea, I remember having u pull the PRL the first time. But what I almost guarentee happened is, when you did the ESN, your phone became inactive. And then when u went in and reactivated it, you probably had to do a *228? ANd even if u didnt, I bet while Veriozn was reactivating your ESN, it tried sending you the updated PRL. And most people on the alltel flash get sent the NON-EVDO prl, thats what happened to me. Go into menu>phone status>other information>prl version and just make sure it is STILL 50768. Thats my guess. If it isnt, then we have another problem ;)

CincyBall, Sweet, good first guess! I re-wrote my Vzw PRL and it's back to showing EV and ver. 50768 :)

Drg0nz0, Yes, and btw it was default at %m, but due to Monster1&2 guides I changed username to my phone number.

PS) It's so nice having a spare untouched Vzw V3m! I've been trying to compare the two to see if I notice anything that would be causing my browser error, but I admit I am kind of stabbing blindly ;)

Sweet Where did you pick up another phone? I'm going to grab one of the Amped mobil ones from Circuit city, and flash it. It's for pre-pay service, and Circuit city has a $100 rebate. So that should be nice.

Drg0nz0, I had 2 all along. I was previously on Qwest with a pair of Motorola V60i's when I made the move to Verizon, I think the phones were actually free with my 2 line 2 year plan but I can't remember. My new every 2 meter is almost full!

I'm thinking that there might be something I can backup off my unflashed v3m and restore to my alltel one to fix the browser, but I'm just not sure exactly what.

It's possible that the feature got removed from your service on the VZW side. I had this happen with GIN and MMS during one of my first flashes with V3m, and on my first flash with the K1m. They re-added the services. The last couple times things stopped working I just did the ESN thing, and all was good. I've pretty much stopped messing with the phones on the service side now that everything is working.

Hi cincy, I used to Work for Motorola and I understand most of the phone but Really is there no way for me to make MP3 ringtones for my V3 RAZR with Verizon without Editing the Seems? I only want to add my Ringtones and Wallpapers and Possibly back up my contacts.

I intent to AIM you when I get home but alas I am at work. I DO NOT want to brick my phone so if you can help me that would be appreciated. I'm going to get the VE MAXX when it releases and I will be cracked the hell out of that if they do what they usually do (Although servey says as of now they plan to keep the stuff they normally disable).

If you help me out I will be getting on the Wallpaper Forum cause I am a Freelance Graphc Artist as well. I'd be happy to make you a custom Wallpaper. Anything you Wish.

    That is if you want.

Please get back to me ASAP and thanks in advance.

Kenshinffx, I think there is only 1 seem edit to apply to enable you to use MPT. The only other way to get that functionality back is to flash the firmware. Otherwise yes, there is no way unless you do the seem edit.

Drg0nz0, so this is something that the ESN swap *or* *228 will not fix? What should I tell CS to have them fix it if it's something I broke?

I've been trying for over a month to get this one last issue resolved and no one seems to know anything about it =(

Ah, Thanks man, just to ask though. Doing a Seem edit will get it to work with far Less Certainty of having the Phone bricked right?

Yes. I can definately say applying a seem edit is safer than flashing a different providers firmware. Well, at least that particular seem. ;) If you read the guides, they are pretty well documented and generally easy to follow.

If a service is removed *228 won't fix it. However it is my understanding that the ESN fix will. They add the features for the phone you're moving to.

Did you try to do the WAP hack? Like I said I did have this problem early on.
What if I just send you my browser file. You can try the wap hack or just regular vzw cust support wap.

But if it's a missing feature ESN Swap shoudl fix it.

Yea, if a service gets removed, your data usually gets hosed along with it. And since calling CS or doing an ESN siwtch will yield the same results, my guess is you can fix it yourself.

    Thats what I thought.
aztech8r if the ESN doesn't work, I think there has to be something wrong with the data, or browser file. I don't know what though.

Ok well it must be something else because doing the ESN swap didn't do anything. I also tried backing up the browser file from my untouched v3m and writing to my Alltel one and still no luck.

Maybe I missed a seem edit or something? I feel dumb having literally everything else working, and only partially working browser =(

going to start a new thread on so this one can stay for bluetooth help
