Hello guys/gals. I have been browsing this forum recently and have noticed that many people who have the razr v3c are complaining about the verizon UI. Well, I am now one of many people in the phone community that has the MOTO UI on my phone. I was able to find the firmware on another forum and flashed my phone using PST 7.2.3 and using the MULTIFLASHFLEX.exe program it comes with. So far, the results have been great. The menu's do not lag at all, and I now have full Bluetooth functionality. Yes, i do have OBEX and object push!! The only drawbacks are that GET IT NOW, Pix messaging, and WAP DO NOT WORK. But i have no use for those applications so i do not mind. I have attached this link to a video of my phone for your enjoyment. Shows the phones startup, UI, bluetooth capability, the ability to program your own shortcuts and arrange the menu, as well as a call to #646 (#min) to show you that i really am on the VZW network and it does really make calls! Enjoy! http://media.putfile.com/VZW-v3c-with-alltel-Firmware might take a bit to load since it is a 9megabyte mpeg 4 file!
I don't know if it is my computer, but when I click on the link it takes me to a page, and tells me the file is corrupt. -Jay
working fine for me....make sure you have an updated QUICKTIME player Or just right click the link and save target as. And play it with any media player that supports mpeg4
PST is considered "Warez" and the mods probably won't allow a link to it. You can however go to google and search, it will come up. -Jay
Forgive but I'm a newcomer here. To hack my new V3C, I opened the menu which looks entirely different than skklown shows in his video. What's wrong? Thanks. acho7
I cant get a working driver for my V3c Razr, it says my computer recognizes it as a motorola modem or whatever but isn't seen by MultiFlashFlex? It is running software vers .03 in case that helps. Any help is appreciated.
are u still on the original verizon firmware?...if so, thats why! Mine is flashed to the alltel firmware which implements the motorola menu system
Can you tell me how to program a shortcut with the Alltel firmware? I just flashed my Verizon V3c to the Alltel firmware and I can't figure out how to create a shortcut. In my old V710, I think you would just hold down the menu key to create a shortcut. The V3c doesn't have a menu key so I can't figure out how to do it.
what version is the Alltell firmware ? and is there any way to backup the Verizon firmware, just in case i should have to return the phone to Verizon.. rather not have my account canceled :}
I have never done anything like this, but how can do this to my V3C. I hate the verizon crap thats on here
