I think I'm glad I didn't hold out for this phone. I like the styling of my 8700 alot better than the V9m... Thanks for the update though!!!
I still have it, but it was time to retire it. I missed using a good ole' flip-type phone. I am still a Treo Fanboy, but I've reformed!!! Still a great gadget in my book!!!
OK, I feel better now. I know you and the treo have a special relationship, kinda like chocolate chips to cookies...
I was just at the AT&T store & they had 1 in a crimson color, they had 2 & sold 1 already this am, it's a nice looking & feeling phone, I like the buttons on it & the magnetic battery cover is an interesting feature. The price was a little much for me, same as Verizon with a 2 year & $400.00 without a contract. (Sticker Shock for sure)
Mr. Credit Card and Mr. Best Buy XD If I would have kept my other job I could have easily gotten the phone within like two weeks. But in the end having people scream at me all over the United States and threating me with random things for 40 hours every week made the money seem not so important.
I hear you!!! Customer service can make you feel like poking your eyes out. People are nasty... I will never do CS again!!!
My wife wants one. Were going shopping later this week. The first thing were checking out the UI for any lag. My Son bought the Krazar and he hates the phone because of the UI lag......
I guess I'll have to go to the Howard Forums for some real information since I was considering getting one when my cotract is up.
I have a dilemma. My new every 2 is up and I have two additional lines under my line. I'm getting the Razr 2. My husband wants the Razr 2 also. I was told by a rep that because he is not the primary account holder he can't do an early upgrade, but they would give him 25% off of the reail price. Does anyone here know if this is the case. They will not let him do an early upgrade, but they will give him 25% off of the retail price. Does this make sense to anyone. Is this a regular practice? I made the sales woman repeat that offer to me because i didn't quite think it was true. The phone cost enough retail, and a 25% discount helps, plus I'll throw in an extra $100 to my husband since i'll be saving over $200 when i get the phone. Anyone here work for Verizon and can confirm this for me? Thanks.
Today I went into the VZW store with my wife and she fell in love with the Razr2. I thought Motorola did a nice job restyling this phone. It actually has a nice feel to it. My wife has only made a few calls on it and I'm going to plug it in to charge now. The displays were sharp and it looks like they redesigned the hinge. My wife has a visual problem and VZW added on the UI announcements so it will tell her who is calling on the first ring and then on the second ring starts the ring tone. I think the phone is priced a little high... $250.00 after the $100.00 rebate. If I would of ordered it on line they would of deducted the rebate instantly....oh well. I'll be checking if they drop the price in the next 30 days. The salesman wanted to sell me one and told him I'm waiting for a Pearl or Curve. He said I wouldn't see the curve on VZW, but November/December I would see the Pearl... go figure!
My wife said that the calls were clearer on the Razr2 than on her LG-4400. She called my Son and he also agreed on his end that this phone sounded better than her old phone. My Son has a Krazr and he hates it. To much lag in the UI for him. We have a bet that he went and got a Razr tonight......I'll have to check my credit card....lol He's going to college in a different state.
