verizon now charging 10 cents for texts recieved

    I'm not happy about it either, but it's not gonna kill me so oh well...I thought this AWE/Cingular merger would be good for competition. ;)

    I remember that when I first got AT&T Wireless, I had free holidays. That was two years ago.

    Yes, I think AT&T Wireless used to have it a long time ago. Oh well, I was hoping things would change for the better. :rolleyes:

    I thought that AT&T was awesome, I'm one of the very few.

    That's what most people thought, but in reality you are actually eliminating Verizon Competitors.

    Instead of having to compete against, Cingular, At&T, Sprint and Nextel individually Verizon only has to focus on Sprint and Cingular...of course those two competitors are bigger, but bigger isn't always better.

    In my opinion wireless service is a completely local or regional experience...most people in the US are not big travelers.

    Well this might be some useful information if you dont want to even use text messaging and you are with Verizon you can call CS and request a messaging Block which is no extra cost and you would not have to worry about spending a dime.
