I just got my music essentials working and put a bunch of songs from my computer to my phone. Is there a charge for putting music from your computer to phone or is it just for downloading it from the vcast store?

They only charge you if you buy songs from VCAST....You can use your music and add it to your phone for free....On some phones, you can only put WMA music files....oh and if you plan on buying vast music do it from your computer..every song is 1 dollar cheaper..
