NJ has both 850/1900 in use mainly, coverage shouldn't be a problem in Mommouth County I was on 36 yesterday going to Sandy Hook & even on the hook coverage wasn't bad.
Usually I find when I get more rural area's I will find some coverage issues with them here in NJ like Hunterdon County.

When I goto NJ every few months I spend most of my time in Ocean, Monmouth & Middlesex counties.
Mainly the cities of Toms River, New Egypt, Englishtown, South Amboy & Freehold.

Most places in East Central New Jersey I always have a great signal.

    Routes 9, 34, 35, 36, 37, 70, 522, 524, 527, 528, 537, 539 & 571 provide great to good signal
on Verizon most of the way, especially in the more populated areas.

The only places in NJ I've recently had very low signal on Verizon is on 539 through Fort Dix
and in Parts of Sussex County on Route 23 near High Point.
