This was to be expected after Cingular's Press releases... Verizon Wireless Expands Its Network With Four New Cell Sites In Queens, New York Verizon Wireless Expands Its Network With Three New Cell Sites In Brooklyn, New York Verizon Wireless Expands Its Network With Seven New Cell Sites In Manhattan In the past 30 days, a total of 17 new cell sites have been activated in the five boroughs of New York City.
What I would like to know does this cover the few holes they have in NYC or just to help out with capacity??
Here is the most interesting part of the last link for Manhattan: "*Test Man Ride-Along Program Specially-equipped Verizon Wireless test vehicles simultaneously test the networks of six wireless providers using a mobile laptop computer to generate calls. If you are interested in setting up an interview or ride-along test drive with your local Verizon Wireless test man or woman, please contact Lynette Viviani at 973-283-9228. " Go for a ride!
I saw that and was going to post it last night (but I had a ltitle too much to drink to operate the post button, lol) Maybe I will try that out.
Trust me, by the time you are done with the ride, you are already in the process of porting your number over to Verizon.
Besides the fact I have about a year & 8 months to go on my 4 line contract & can't afford the ETF & buying new phones, I had tried them last year & had problems with the service in my area, which actually suprised me, they may have gotten better though by now & besides the couple of dead area's they have ( they are trying to build some towers to fill these voids, it's the NIMBY'ers that are a problem as usual) I can't complain about Cingular in my area, that I need & use the service. Yes there had been a 2 week period the network had issues & don't know why, there aren't any towers to integrate in North NJ just change the network ID & maybe do some tune ups ETC... Now Florida was a different story & if I lived there, I may have jumped ship.
I was talking about different reasons because I know that cingular works very well for you. I ment because of all the pro Verizon things you are going to see and hear and the brainwashing going on
They can't break me, they can't break me, they can't break me (my brainwashing training hopefully will help)
the purpose of the test rides is to check your competitors DEAD/WEAK Spots and you improve on those areas. It's not just the TEST Drives that helps carriers, CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS of a Dead Zone are a Major Contributor. It will be nice to see the can u hear me now guy do the CUSTOMER Complaints on Dead Spots and how he handles them But as more TOWERS are placed those areas are getting smaller and smaller.
