    Verizon Wireless, America Online In Pact

    BEDMINISTER, N.J . -(Dow Jones)- Verizon Wireless (VRZ - News) and AOL Time Warner Inc.'s ( AOL) America Online Inc. will offer a suite of AOL services and features to Verizon Wireless Mobile Web subscribers.

    Verizon Wireless digital customers with Web-enabled phones who subscribe to Mobile Web now have wireless access to AOL mail and other AOL content including the latest news, financial information, driving directions and local event and entertainment information.

    The companies plan to extend their relationship with the launch later this year of the AOL Instant Messenger service.

    Verizon Wireless customers with digital Web-enabled handsets can add Mobile Web service forper month plus airtime charges.

    Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group PLC .

    Sweeet!!! Verizon actually used their head and decided to get involved with the AOL scene...took them long enough!!
