I am able to turn on the speaker phone PRIOR to a call and turn it off AFTER a call. However I am unable to toggle the speaker phone during a call. In those instances it thinks that I want to record a voice message. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a way around this problem? Is this a fix slated for the new software version? Thanks.
I think you're hitting the wrong button? It works fine for me. I just did a test call, answered on the other phone, and held the speakerphone button for about a second, and it picks right up. You might have hit the voice record by mistake while trying to get leverage on the other side of the phone from the speakerphone button.
you are hitting the wrong button the speaker phone button is the one on the left. the voice record button is the one on the right. i tried what u said and it works for me no problem.
Its possible that while your squeezing the phone to push the button on one side you also squeezing the button on the other side. I caught myself doing that a few times while playing around with the speaker phone. since you can go to voice memo while on the phone, would that mean that you could record the conversation? or does it disconnect/ hold the call? I'd try it but I just took my phone back due to the NE2. (see my thread on returning V710 to RS) I'll have one again in about a week, I already have the transflash on order.
