Is there any one out there who is having a hard time connecting their headset to their handset? If there is can you please reply. And if there is someone who did have a problem and fixed it, or can help me out, can you please post as well. Thank you.

Can you give an idea of what is happening?

Are you able to set your headset to discoverable?
Are you able to set the phone to look for devices (under headset)?
Does the phone see the headset?
Does the headset accept the PIN typed into the phone?

Thanks to Gideon H, he helped me set my HS820 up.

There are absolutely no problems with the HS820, in terms of quality of product and sound and voice resolution etc. The only problem I encountered was setting the darn thing up. This is for everyone who is having a problem with linking their headsets to their handsets:

Hold the middle headset button until the light on it stays, not until it blinks. (keep on holding the button down after it blinks, this will take about 8 seconds all together). Then you can follow the directions normally. Once the device is detected, enter the password 0000 to fully connect. It should work fine now.

I recommend this device to anyone who needs or wants a headset. This is by far the best, and coolest, headset on the market today. The only drawback is the price (when you buy from radioshack you also get a $20 rebate as well). But if youre willing to drop the dough on a cool accessory for your phone, you should consider the HS820.

Psh, copying my advice... lol that's ok. But I'm glad it worked and I'm gad you like it! My only problem with the headset is that it doesn't fit my ear very well... it falls-off easily :(.

Lol it's not a size issue, it's a conformity issue ;). It fits well when I point the microphone to my eye but when I turn it down to point to my mouth it get's kinda loose and unconfortable. But it's a nice headset you'll enjoy it. :)

Here's a picture I just took of it in my ear on my V600 (I cropped it)... it looks like it fits but it's kinda falling out. And lucky me I snapped the picture right when it flashed lol.

Gideon H, what color is your HS820 because the picture looks Blue. Is that the teal one that RS sells? The one that came with my imported OEM V80 with the complete data kit is actually black.

The clarity and quality of this Bluetooth headset is amazing...

I guess its not made for everyone's ear type...

however, I am enjoying every minuite of it...and the voice recognition is impecable....

all I do is press the button on the headset...

    then say : NAME DIAL
then the name of anyone in my contact/phonebook

and it recognizes it, and dials...

    thats pretty damn cool! :browani:

My headset works great. The only problem is that when I have it on and someone calls me, the only ring I get is through the headset. So if I don't have my headset in my ear, I can't hear the phone ring. Does anyone know how to keep the ring coming from the phone instead of through the headset while the headset is on?

This may be one of the issues corrected in the finalized firmware (not present on the V710s sold by RadioShack in the last week). We'll see on the 11th.

Will the V710 sold through Verizon have a more updated s/w than the RS versions? If so do you know what will be corrected or different?

Motorola has it set-up that any Motorola phone rings through the headset alone. I used it on a Sony Ericsson and the phone itself rang and the headset beeped, and on two Motorola's that I tried it on it rang in the headset only (two different Moto models). It's not a firmware problem, Motorola designed it so it's supposed to do that.
