I know that "Jameskk" on HOFO was the first one to say he could do it. He had a pre-production unit. Here's the link to his statement:

    http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=408805&perpage=15&pagenumber=9

I'm really not trying to mislead anyone. Anyone who has a v710 and a WM2003 PocketPC with Bluetooth can do it:

-Establish a partnership with the phone
-Turn on BT on both devices
    -open your contacts list
    -Tap and hold a contact
    -Select "Dial via Bluetooth"
-Follow the rest of the directions on the PDA (It's pretty self-explainatory)

    Really... It DOES work!

As far as adding that feature to other PDA devices, I suggest posting that question in www.pdastreet.com (pick an appropriate forum)

    THANKS FOR YOU INPUT ANYWAY...

IT SEEMS THIS LAST FREE BLUETOOTH DIALER APPLICATION CAN CONNECT TO THE HEADSET (HS820 OR 810) AND DIAL THE PHONE THRU THE HEADPHONE. THAT WILL BE NICE... :browani:

PS: I DONT HAVE MY PHONE YET UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH, IF SOME ONE TRY THIS SOFTWARE WITH THEIR PDA, HEADSEAT AND V710; PLEASE FOLLOW UP WITH COMENTS ON THIS POST. THANKS

Re-read that section of their web site VERY carefully -- you need to disconnect your headset before you dial from the PDA. Nothing gets dialed through the headset...

    BTW-Turn off your CAPS LOCK!

    BLUETOOTH DIALER Web site:
    http://www.vmobilesoftware.com/bluetooth_dialer.htm

Quote from Bluetooth Dialer web site:
"If you are using a Bluetooth Headset, you shall disconnect it before you start dialing from PDA. The reason for that is hardware limitation on the most phones. They cannot maintain more than one Bluetooth connection simultaneously. The headset can be connected right after the number has been sent to the phone."

The question is: Is the V710 capable of maintaing more than one Bluetooth connection simultaneoously? :browani:

Does anyone knows the answer to this?

    Quote from Bluetooth Dialer website:
 : "if you have a Bluetooth headset you can keep your phone in the pocket after the number is dialed. "

If this is true and the HS810 can interacts with up to eight different Bluetooth (click here for HS810 information) AND the V710 can maintain more than one Bluetooth, then this software should be able to dial thru the phone without loosing the headset connection.

Still: We won't know 100% until someone will try this....

    PS: no caps :)

I will try this today, when I get a chance.

The v710 can only connect to one device at a time -- The only device I've EVER seen that can do more at once is the Bluetooth Dongle.

Your 810 will interact with up to 8 different devices... ONE AT A TIME. what it does is keep the partnerships for up to 8 devices.

You cannot connect more then one device to the phone at once. I just tested it by powering on and activating the BT speaker. I then opened my HS810 and it does not connect to the phone. You would need to disconnect the headset, connect the PDA, disconnect the PDA and reconnect the headset. Seems like an awful lot of steps. It seems easier to open the contact on the PDA and use voice recognition to dial.

Also regarding the prior post, the headset can be paired with up to 8 devices, but can only connect with one of those at a time.

The Bluetooth Dialer software has an option checkmark for "Dial Using Bluetooth Headset".

I don't know how that will work, maybe from the PDA to Headset to Phone OR
like JOHN6SIX said in another post "The headset and phone could connect to the PDA and then the program could act as a go between and handle the dialing."

Some one need to try this Bluetooth Dialer software and find out if this works. I don't have my V710 yet but I'm on the works... :lmao:

    PS: This software is FREE...

I tried 2 of the dialers and couldn't get either to work. Probably a setting issue, but either way the resident BT dialer in my PDA works fine.

If anyone gets it working, and thinks it's better than the one already there, let me know.

    Thanks!
