A perfect example of how they wire hire any person except the experienced ones. Many a time I have heard a Verizon rep say something totally off the wall, yet we agents can't get a job because we check our facts I guess. Go figure.
PTT definately only runs on the 1x portion of the network. whoever told you otherwise should go back for more training. i even have new customers who know that. they say "i understand that PTT only works on verizons 1x network, but that area is big enough for what we need". if customers know this, why dont sales reps?
it's amazing how some of these people get jobs when they don't know jack .. at least they're working for a living though.
Yeah, but if you are in a good store and make $50-$80,000 plus a year, I EXPECT you to know everything.
Agreed. Would any of us buy a car from a salesman that swore the engine was a V6, but in reality was a 4cyl? I doubt it. So we shouldn't accept ignorance/stupidity/lies from wireless salespersons either. They are relying on the fact that probably 90% of their customers don't know a thing about the technology.
When I bought my Corvette the salseperson tried to convince me it had a 6.0L engine, not a 5.7... The C6 (2005 Model Year) is going to be released with a 6.0L, 400HP engine though, hopefully he was just getting mixed up.
so has anyone tried putting the v60p software into a v60s to see if it would work.... or putting v60s software onto a v60p and see if the battery life and other bugs are fixed (assuming you dont mind if the ptt isnt working) just curious....
After looking at my v60s, I could definately see another sticker underneath the one on there. It reminded me of my v60i. It too had a sticker on top of another sticker. I guess i never thought about it. maybe an unsold v60c?
Here's proof that the V60s is a rebadged V60p with PTT locked software..... https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=378712&native_or_pdf=pdf
