Does anyone on this forum know if the V60S will be available on Alltel? This question has been asked for the past three days on HoFo also and so far no responses.
    Thanks,
    Lynn

I doubt it. From what I understand, the v60s was made at the request of Verizon, to be able to provide their customers with a non-PTT v60. There were alot of complaints from people that wanted a v60p because of it's speakerphone but didn't want PTT.

I wouldn't be suprised if Verizon just needed to dump a huge inventory of V60P's that weren't selling. A friend of mine at a VZW store mentioned they'll be getting rid of them in about a week because they aren't e911 compatable, and the law mandating compatabilty is about to go into effect.

that's been my hunch also, makes sense, disable the PPT feature and sell as a v60s.

Well, the V60s is E911 compatible. Not sure why the V60p would not be since it uses such similar hardware......
