Dont know if this was posted in the old forums, but Cingular now has the Motorola V600 in its lineup. It's 149.99 after a mail in rebate with a 2 year contract.

For an Atlanta area zip code, they don't show the V600 as being an option, only the V400.

Wow $149.99 is not bad at all for a contract with the V600. Let's just hope that Moto has ironed out the bugs people keep posting about over on HoFo in the Motorola Forum. I'm using the V525 and it's quite impressive :).

I disreguard any post that critizies Moto. It seem like no matter how good of phone Moto makes people just flame the hell out of Moto & nit pic the phones to deaf. The T720 was just the icing on the cake for the nit pic'ers. I think the V series is great, but like any other phone(s) they will have there issues. I would be tempted to get one, as my recent trade as turned into a scam. But also Cingular's CS in my new area has just been plain aweful to the point of dumping them sooner then later. :(

Yea, I will more then likely port my Cingular SoCal number over to Sprint. I hope I can wait out my contract, but Cingular is making me very unhappy lately. But for may local Bullhead City number I think I will go with CellularOne. There new GSM network is working very well, having personal experiance using it. And they have a awesome local plan that includes unlimited minutes + 100 national roaming minutes for $45. :)

BTW, I like your avitar.

What is CellOne in your area, budney? Dobson or WW? Are they on 800 or 1900?

CellOne is Dobson in this area. I have a feeling they are using 1900, as they still have their TDMA 800 up and running. I need to do a little searching to find the real answer. :)

If I were to switch today, I would go with the a680 or maybe the 8200. But with all the problems with most of Sprint's phones I have been reading about over at SU, has me worried slightly. If I can wait it out with Cingular I like the Samsung i550 which is said to becoming out in the 4Q. :)

All right glad to see that you're choosing to stick with GSM for at least your local needs :).

I have no problem with GSM. I have been very happy with coverage, but Cingular's CS is just plain bad for this area. I love this thread at HoFo, as it is a perfect example of what I went through. :(

    Horrible customer service experience

Don't know Yellow, don't really get to the air port area much, unless I have a plane to catch...it's quite a ways from where I live. If you are in town for a few days you would probably want to make you way int Buckhead...that is where the clubs are.

Still no V600 in Atlanta, but I do see it when I plugged in one of the other zip codes.

Agreed, that is a decent price. Verizon would probably want 300 dollars and a 6 year customer service agreement.

A 6 year contract? Do they seriously have such a long contract? I would never commit to such a long contract , that's plain nuts.

FYI - Cingular's website now shows availability of the v600 in the Lawrenceville NJ area (08540). Same price as everywhere else ($149 after rebate).

I was wondering if anybody knew if Verizon would be selling a V600 version anytime in the next few months....my verizon v60 is beginning to see the end I think and I want to get a new Motorola phone for Verizon. If I were to buy a v600 off of ebay would I be able to use it/activate it for Verizon?

    Thanks,
    Eric

For the sake of clearing up confusion, there is NO V600 for CDMA. The new CDMA Moto is the V710.

Died a slow painfull death.....Actually I still read here that it is coming, along with the V710.

The V600 is showing up now for the Atlanta area on Cingular's site, 249.00, no rebates listed.
