V551 vs. Razr V3

    My Motorola v551 just got stolen and I am replacing it tomorrow. Since the RazrV3 is $199(Cingular) and the v551 is $99 is it worth the difference?
    I travel all over the world so I do need a quadband and I liked the v551 that I had but the Razr looks pretty slick.

    The v551 is a great phone. It comes down to the looks and internet usage. If you like the v3 looks that much more go for it. But if you need edge then grab the V551. V551 also has video capture.

    Feature wise you get more bang for your buck from the v551, now if you want to make a statement and can do w/o the video and edge go for the Razr, especially @ $199....

    The V551 has much better RF reception than the RAZR V3 stick with the V551 or get a Nokia. :browani:

    My V3 and V551 were about the same, if anything the v3 was a tad bit better.

    In a nutshell, they are the same phone with much different packaging. Same software interface, same RF....... I bought the Razr because I like arrying the phone in my shirt pocket. The V3 is perfect for that. The V551 is narrower, but much thicker.

    Sorry but they are not the same phones, the v551 has more features than the Razr including edge and video recording...V551 VS V3

    I do however like my Razr alot more than the v551.... ;)
