If u go into Menu > Settings > System > Device Info > Storage Devices , you shoud seee transflash card, and then format. Im not 100% if thats teh correct path to the card, but im doing it outta memory.

I totally did that too. I didn't want to push too hard on that little thing, it looks fragile! But you really have to shove it to get it all the way in.

I have a problem with my card too. But it is different. I was tranfering pics over to the transflash and the phone froze. I took out the card and the phone works just fine:D , but everytime i put it back in it just freezes. i thought i could fix it using bitpim or MPT, but when i plugged in the phone (no card) works fine:D with BITPIM and MPT then i slid it back in and all of the sudden nothing detects the phone:mad: .

    any answers, or comments?????

You can't access the card from the computer either?? Sorry to say this, but you may be SOL... I mean, if you can't access it ANYWHERE it's pretty much useless. Where did you get it? If you got it from a store (vs. me getting mine on ebay) you should totally take it back to them and tell them it's not working, they should back up the product and replace it for you.

I have a Verizon Rzr V3m. I just purchased a 2GB SanDisk TransFlash micro SD. Under the phone's Device Info, I'm able to see how much free space, used space and total space of the card. However, I'm unable to access anything off of it. Example: I've downloaded several mp3 into the card via computer and re-inserted into the phone, but I have no apparent way to get at them. I've tried formatting the card already prior to saving mp3 into it from my computer. Anyone have a clue to this mystery?? Please HELP!!

The Verizon Razr V3m can ONLY use 1gb cards...I sugget u bring back the 2gb card, and get the 1gb

As for why u cant listen to ur music, it must be in wma format, it wont play mp3's in the media player, only for ringtones. And ringtones must be on teh phones memory, not the tf card.

I was able to convert my mp3 to wma and loaded into the transflash. When trying to play a song, I always get "Player Error". Any ideas?

How are you putting them on the card? If you're doing it through a card reader, you could encounter problems with protection. I think it's unprotected files that the phone won't play. The best way to get music on your phone and playing without these problems is to use a cable and sync the music via windows media payer. Wmp takes care of all the protection stuff and the converting for you. If you have a cable, you should look into that. I don't know how to change the protection of your songs... so I do'nt know how to fix it otherwise.

I've noticed that every time I connect a cable to the phone and my computer, it identifies my phone as "Found Motorola V3c" instead of my true model of Motorola V3m. Anybody knows how to correct this?

That is normal. The v3c and v3m have the same drivers.

So you do have a cable. Have you tried syncing with wmp? That should fix the problem you were having with the songs not playing.

Although my Device Manager can see the Motorola USB Modem and can query it, my WMP 10 can't see it. My V3m Razr can't sync with my computer either. Any suggestions?

Have you run the mtp fix? You can find it in the downloads section at www.hacktherazr.com. I'd suggest also downloading the driver tool from that same place. First, run the drivertool, then run the mtp fix, then plug in the phone and install the drivers. That should get wmp to recognize and sync with your phone.

I had WMP 9 and it won't work so I updated my player and it updated to WMP 11 instead and still can't get it to work, so I found WMP 10 and downloaded and it says it won't work with my version of windows so I am screwed on that. MPT tool worked and now I can't delete any songs or I can't open the music to play them so I don't know whats up.

Both wmp 10 and 11 should work, what version of windows do you have?

I'm a little confused, you said MPT tool (I believe to mean the mtp fix?) worked... what do you mean by worked? If you can't connect to wmp it sounds like maybe it didn't.

You say you can't play or delete music... how did it get on there in the first place if you can't connect with wmp?

I have xp/sp2. I tried to install wmp 10 and i had a box pop up that say it won't work , so I went back to wmp 11.
I installed the mpt on my computer. The mpt put the music on the phone not the wmp. It won't find the phone. The mpt I got working and the multimedia studio is how I got the music on the phone.
Now when I go to click on the music option on my phone it won't come up it says loading and then it just goes back to my main screen. I can't delete any music off it either, not using the phone or the mpt.

Any "music" added in MPT is not for your MP3 player. Anything added in MPT goes into the /motorola/shared/audio folder, and can be set as ringtones and MUST be in MP3 format. If you want ACTUAL MUSIC, such as full songs, then it must be synced with WMP. It gets converted into WMA format, and is put in the 'my_music' folder. Syncing with WMP is the only way to get the songs into the proper format and ultimately, into the proper folder. So they are treated as TWO separate things by Verizon razrs. RINGTONES must be stored on the phones memory in the motorola/shared/audio folder in mp3 format (only need to be about 30 seconds long since vmail picks up after 30 secs). MUSIC must be in WMA format and in the 'my_music' folder accessed by WMP. They can be full songs, but it is recommended to be stored on the memory card since the phones memory can only hold 4 or 5 songs before it gets full.

Let me start off by saying, the Verizon V3M will only read a 1gb card. I think the Sprint V3M is the only phone that can use a 2gb card. Who do u have?

Why wont it format the card? Is it not SEEING the card? Or does it give u an error when u select format? Have u made sure you fully inserted the card...you have to push harder than u think. If u think its fully in ,and it still wont work, take the card out and look at the pins inside the card slot. Lately, A LOT of razrs have had pins either missing or bent, which would cause problems.

I have the Verizon one. It sees the card as Transflash but says unable to format try again.

I have made sure the card is fully pushed in..
I have been able to format the card FAT and FAT32 on my pc.

I think all the pins are there... not quite sure

I also called Verizon Support and they said that it supports the 2GB card.. dunno what to think..
