Solved that issue... picked up a stereo jack adapter. Lots of stuff to have hanging off my phone just for music... but oh well. :) It works for me.:D

v3m headset adapter that comes in the box doesn't fit with typical mini headsets.. It's even smaller???
My Ipod earbuds won't work. I'm confused. If I am to buy special earphones for this via Moto that already have the usb end to them, then why would they ship the headphones adapter???!???

Very confusing train of thought on their end.. Not sure what they are thinking maybe someone can enlighten me as to what I am missing here?

The adapter that comes with the phone is a 3/32" jack. Your ipod headphones are 1/8". You need a 3/32" jack that accepts 1/8" headphone converter. Make sure it is a STEREO adapter. Some are MONO, and u dont want that.

The thing that comes with it is MONO.
    Its Moto but mono..

So I should just toss this then and look for the correct item?

    Here we go:
Motorola Stereo Headset for Select Motorola Cell Phones - Silver
    Model: 89024J

Listen to some tunes or chat while you're on the go with this comfortable and versatile headset that is compatible with most Motorola cell phones with an Enhanced Mini-USB (EMU) connection.

So the thing in the box IS totally useless. DUH moto DUH.

    Who makes these decisions anyway?

I thought the adapter in the box was not for the head phone's for mp3 but for the hands free head phones for people that don't want or have blue tooth. :O

WARNING: Do not expect Ipod quality (which I think is far less as compared to the Sony) from a Razr phone.

It is a COMPLETE waste of money to purchase a memory card and headphones for these phones. I listened to music on both of my Moto phones and it SUCKS bigtime.

It truly sounds like someone ripped out any mid/low range from the songs, then made the whole thing into mono, then transmitted the music via AM radio with a BAD signal to a station that recorded it on casette tape. THEN someone recorded it with a boom box, put the cable into their sound card and ripped the music using the lowest quality/highest performance option double check, then ported over the phone AFTER having an anurism.

Yes, it's that bad. I won't even bother with it.
BTW the headphones (moto) are on ebay for like $5 brand new OEM.

How do you compare it to an ipod? I think ipods are garbage really compared to the other vendors out there, but compare it to an ipod if you have one.

I'd say there is a 400% difference in quality honestly. Not to mention (and I know I can seem edit or whatever this) but the application is cumbersome I think now that I have a chance to play around with it.

Not to mention, my phone locked up on me twice now playing music.

Did it also browsing the web.

I would say maybe I have a defective phone but it sounds like Slit on my SLVR lc7 also.

I compare it close to the iPod. What bitrate are the songs you are syncing to your phone?

    I just don't get this.

I bought a mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter on Ebay for my razr v3m.

    ///http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-Audio-Headphone-Adapter-for-Motorola-RAZR-V3i-V3_W0QQitemZ200077413241QQihZ010QQcategoryZ42404QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It works with a pair of amplified computer speakers that I have, but DOES NOT WORK with a simple pair of Koss Headphones.

    What is the problem?

    Anyone know?

    Thanks in advance
