    I have a V3m and I just got a Motorola H700 BT.

I see that the charger connection on the H700 has the same input connector type as the V3m and was wondering if I can use the car charger (OE) that I use for my V3m for my H700 also?

    Thanks.

Yes. They are both mini-USB ports so you can use the charger for your V3m in your H700. Motorola are brilliant, aren't they?

In the past I have been able to use the charger for my v300, v600 & v620 in my HS820 and HS850. Now I have a PEBL and a w315, which are both mini-USB, so I think I need to get an H700 so I don't have to have two chargers. My wife doesn't seem convinced, however.

I have the H500 BT Headset with my RAZR V3M and saw that the USB Connection was the same between the chargers. The output mA is lower on the headset charger than on the phone charger however. (550 vs 850 mA)

I am wondering if others are having the same problem that I am having with the phone charger. I charge nightly as I have just the stock battery and every once in awhile I will get "Unauthorized charger" message on the phone display when using the Motorola supplied charger (DCH4-050MV-0301).

I have had to do a "cold start" to get it to recognize the charger. I have yet to address this to either Verizon or Motorola as I have been able to work around what appears to be a relatively minor glitch.

I am puzzled over the combination of power and headset both being USB ports but who knows what went through the design engineers minds.

Kept getting the unauthorized charger warning resulting in my phone not charging.

Went to the Verizon store and requested a new charger. Prior to doing this I had taken my wife's charger and plugged my phone onto it with no problems at all. My charger on her phone resulted in the same "unauthorized charger" message. QED my charger was faulty.

I told the Verizon Store employee my problem and what I had done to isolate it to the charger. I told her upfront that it was an annoying intermittent problem

She took my charger and plugged a phone onto it and it started charging. She "smiled" and said they couldn't (read wouldn't) do anything as the charger works.

I asked her what part of intermittent didn't she understand.

I got back into my car and dialed 611. Ten minutes later I had the confirmation number for the Fedexed new charger!

I think what did it was when I asked why would Store personnel risk losing a customer who is on a two contract over a crappy charger.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
