Yeah, I searched.... and I found info... but nothing in a direct upfront way. I just did my Verizon V3m to the Alltel Firmware on the Cricket network and it works great. Now I need to setup a friends Alltel V3c for the Verizon network... I need WAP and MMS working and whatever else verizon has... since they are Verizon Customers. cincy! Help me!
At first I did the Alltel firmware flash with the newest monster... then did all the mods to get it to the Verizon network, atleast I belive I have been, And It still is on the Alltel Network. When I *228 it goes to Alltel. Why? I'm using this as my guide... Motorola V3c Tutorial: Flashing to Alltel User Interface - HowardForums Wiki Which is the same that I used for my Verizon V3m to Alltel V3m Monster on the Cricket Network and it works out fine! Is there something I'm missing? I know to get my RAZR on the cricket network... it isn't hard at all...
FYI that guide is for flashing a v3c with a customer upgrade and not a Monster file which is why you are having some issues. You easiest bet will be to flash the Alltel v3c with the VZW monster file first and get everything working. Then flash it to Alltel firmware so they have the Moto UI if that is what they are after. Reason being is you need to make some backup files from a working VZW phone with service before flashing it to Alltels firmware so you can get all the data services working. Using the Monster flash files is completely different then using a customer upgrade flash which is what the guide you followed is for. Here is a link for the different flash files Verizon firmware downloads, Motorola, LG, and Samsung software, seems and DLL. As for a guide to follow using a Monster flash file here ya go RAZR, V3C, V3M, E815 Motorola/LG Mobile Phone Help Pages by Mark Venture - Monster2 Oh yea the reason it is still pointing to Alltel when you dial *228 is because you need to write a VZW ERI & PRL file to the phone using PST prior to dialing *228.
