V3c Text Message Signature

Discussion in 'MOTOROLA' started by DarrylLeeOHS30, Nov 13, 2006.

  1. Ive looked all over the place to find where to put the signature and I can't seem to get it to work at all. I looked at the MMS part and it has autosignature for that, and that doesn't work either.

If anyone knows something I may be overlooking, i would appreciate it. I cant see how one of the most expensive phones USCC had for sale at the time could have such features as blue tooth and a video camera, but no text message signature!! lol

    Hey,
I'm not sure about adding signatures on a V3c since I have a V3m. Well try this anyway. It might work.

Messaging > Settings > Text Messaging > Auto Signature > Change Signature

If you follow the directions step by step, you'll be able to change the signature by making your own. I hope this will help. :)

  3. my phone doesn't have any of those menus :(

I guess its just not meant to be for a $450 (retail price from USCC) phone to have a text message signature... lol

    thanks anyway for posting that!

Yea, I am running the Alltel GATW_X_04.04.00R firmware on my v3m, so ours is pretty similar I think, but I cant find it on mine either.

ok on my V3c with Alltel you can find the auto sig by: Going to your text inbox, hit options key (bottom left), go to setup, go to mms message setup, than go to composing mms and there you will find the auto signature line that you can put to your mussages. Help that helps.

  11. would anyone happen to know the latest software version for the USCC V3c?

    Mines currently showing GATW_04.08.00R

... which I thought was the latest. Does anyone know, as well, if USCC charges to update the software version for me?

It depends on how bad. I cant speak from experience, but if its completely messed up, there is a chance they wouldnt know. But if they did, I think you would be out.

My signature does not show up on all my text messages. Only if I create a new message does it show up in the text. How can I get it so that my sig shows up on all my texts?
