Hello, i need some help with my Verizon v325 phone. I recently did a seem edit to my phone, and everything worked out fine. However, when i went to vibe + ring i found out it didnt let me access the ring lights function. So i went and proceded to upload my seem backup that i had, only to figure out it was 0 bytes and included nothing. So then my next try was to download a premodded seem edit from http://www.howardforums.com/showpos...228&postcount=3 and changed all the edits he listed back ot their originals (except the new rings moonlit haze, siren, continental, classic, and attention because i like to keep those)

Also, this is not the v325 bug where the ring modes reset back to "none". When i goto sound settings i only get 2 options, style and the ring's details. thats it.

So, my question is how can i get the ring lights option to appear? they do not light up when my phone is charging or when its ringing. Has anyone had this problem and can help me or offer a solution?

You also need to add a file to your phone called "ringlight.pat" (I think that's what its called). It is available to members of www.Motomodders.net, I've seen it in their downloads section before. Anyway, the ringlights only work correctly on V600 models anyway. Ringlights caused other models to hang and crash, that's why Motorola disabled the feature on these other models.

    Good Luck!

Hey man, I have the same exact problem! My ring lights were wroking fine until I started playing around wth seems. When I noticed they were missing I tried reloading my backup. Unfortunately, I only backed up the first 07a bytes instead of the whole seem. It must be something in the bytes after, but I have not yet been able to find a complete seem backup for the v325.

By the way, have you noticed that seem 041a & 2742 mirror each other?

Also, I don't think Jay is familar with the v325. The ring lights work fine (unless you screw them up like we did!).

I am wondering if getting the new firmware upgrade may fix this. I'm at R9-1_X_05.28.09P, and the latest is R9-1_X_05.28.1CP.

If you ever figure it out, please let us know. I will do the same.

No, a V325 is not in my collection, but as far as I am aware the V600 is the only model that Moto released with Ringlights from the factory. Other models were crashing and they decided to discontinue it because of the bugs.

Hi All! I also had a problem with the ringlight's, and yes...the new software upgrade R9-1_X_05.28.1CP does fix the issue. During the meantime, go into: "display", then "display themes", and select anything but "DEFAULT" (in other words, select: "blue", "business" or "tropical")...turn the phone off/on and you ring-light's will work again. Until you get the software upgrade, just don't use "default" under display settings.

I notice before the screen-saver feature never worked...now that I've done the upgrade, everything works as it should. :D
