I've had the v120e with the blue light for 4 months, and it has been a very good phone. It is solid with a loud earpiece volume, loud ringer, good signal strength. Verizon also has the best network - I used to have AT&T and now I have much better signal/reception. I am paying $20 less than I was with AT&T and getting more for it...

The v120e does support internet, but I have not really used it for that. The only drawback with the phone is that it has a relatively small screen (4 lines of text) compared to the color flip phones like the T720. I don't care, since I use it to make and receive calls.

I would definitely recommend this phone with Verizon...

I have been useing the 120C phone for the past year I did a upgrade to the V120E and its great you can plug it into a lap top and use it to go to the internet.. and if your in a area that is 3G you can get fast internet known as ExpressNetwork $79.99 unlimt. but I still have only one problem with this phone and thats when your driving in a car and trying to listen to a person on the phone its hard 2 hear. but if you use a ear piece then its all good.. it is bright Blue Light... also with the cable and connecting it to pc you can back up your phone book info... for data questions or help for internet/ phone book AKA Mobile Office dial 866-788-9387

    CrazyBoy,

The v120e is a capable handset, but what are your other options/what other Verizon phones are you considering? If you are looking for a candybar style phone I would recommend the VX2000 over the v120e.

I would recommend either the VX-10 or the VX2000. Then I would go with the 120e...stay away from the Samsung.

ok....On the vx-10 I heard it had GIN. How do they charge for that. A monthly subscription of like $15? what about the t61c?

vx-10 has GIN, the charge is not a flat-rate, but rather a per download fee. Some things at GIN have subscriptions that go month to month, you can get more info on this from the Verizon Wireless store.

I really like the T61c. You can't get it from Verizon though, only through authorized agents if they have them in stock or online at eBay.
Here is a link to the phonescoop info and comments about the T61c if you are interested. I didn't really have to send my phone off for "repair", rather a software upgrade because I couldn't get it from Verizon since they never sold the phone in their corporate stores.

No "Turkey in the Straw" on the VX2000.... The speakerphone on the VX2000 is very good though, which is why I would recommend it over the v120e in a heartbeat. Still, I have played with all the phones you are considering (and the VX4400 and Audiovox 9500) and the only ohone I would pick over the T61c is the Audiovox 9500. The T61c is packed with features (downloadable B&W pics and ringtones for free) that make it a great value IMO. Plus the ability to check email without using MobileWeb is nice too [IMG]

So if I should get any phone...It should be the T61c? I also really like the vx10. Im going to get that or a T61c...Somthing/Someone has to change my mind.

Well I don't want to jump out and tell you to get a T61c...I seem to be in the minority of people that likes the phone. Although most people that have used it say it's fine, most complain that it is ugly. I guess it is, but that's not a big consideration for me. I know I said it already but for all of the under $100 phones you are considering I would go in this order:

    1. SE T61c
    2. LG VX2000
    3. LG VX-10

So if you want a flip, definitely go for the vx-10. If you want to be able to use Get It Now, go for the VX-10. If you must have a normal sounding ringer, eliminate the VX2000. Still, I have never used the VX-10 so my comments are just based on what I have read elsewhere in the forum.

I actually like the T61 looks and am leaning toward the candybar style because of my big ordeal with the V60i. So right now im guessing its the T61c for me.

How are the ringtones on it. Can it be downloaded. And does it have the backround images like the T206?

Yes, you can download ringtones (monophonic) from www.esato.com. It also supports background pictures but these cannot be downloaded over the air, you need to buy a data cable ($5 on eBay) and get the free imaging software from the SE site.

Yes, I have done both...it is very easy! I have the little UF Gator image and I downloaded a Beastie Boys song (Girls). Well, I downloaded a couple more songs, but that is the only one I use and I don't remember the others off hand! [IMG]

Cool again. I might need to ask for your help. When I went to the website, I clicked on the song and it only played it?

you need to go to the site from your phone. either sign up for the mobile web for a day and then cancel it or use the free WAP settings, but this requires going into program modes and you may or may not be comfortable with that. just contact me when you get the phone and I'll help you out!
