I currently updated my Razr phone to a Motorola V3xx, and when I linked up the phone to my PC, Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) properly noted the phone as a V3xx, but showed another phone image, and would not allow me to access my phone book. Has anyone else out there had this problem. I suppect the V3xx has some form of write protection using a PC connection.

I wish I knew how to unlock it, because I believe that would open up access. Please Advise

I have the Cingular V3xx Razr (aka Izar). I'm using MPT 4.3.6.c, and it works seamlessly. (Much better than my original MPT 3.x.x and the original Razr.) You'll need the latest version of MPT. The weird/tricky part is you have to update MPT one version at a time. Here's how: plug your phone into the computer, start MPT (which already seems to recognize your V3xx, but not correctly), update MPT, close MPT, restart MPT, and update once again. Keep doing this. Eventually a version will be installed which recognizes the V3xx, complete with a correct avatar of the phone. Keep looping through this update process until you get to the current version (which is 4.3.6; I just checked.) I think I had to loop through about 6 upgrades to get to the end.
