I have a Verizon USB720 Wireless card, lately the speed has dropped drastically... Is there anything I can do to speed it up, or have I possibly "Worn it out" and just need to bite the bullet and get a new one?

    Thanks Guys,

vzw aircards are not known to be that fast. att and sprints are the fastest in my first hand testing. alltels are not bad either. im not sure what it is about the way they maintain their network but ive heard that they control their speeds on purpose.

Sprint and AT&T don't get service in the areas that count for me... I've tried them, Verizon was the best one, and up til now the card was working fabulously, but now it's just kinda pooped out on me... So I guess I just need to buy a new one?

Now my computer has stopped recognizing it... everytime I plug it in, it says "USB Device Not Recognized" am I just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one?

I would suggest going to the Verizon website and downloading the latest VZAccess Manager update for the Novatel USB 720 and trying it, if you haven't already tried that. Your old copy could be at fault.

I appreciate the idea, but I have done that already. When I went through the setup wizard, it couldn't even recognize I had the modem attached, so I can't install drivers if the comp doesn't know it's there.
