Ive never had sprint before and am very close to pulling the trigger on a sero plan with the Q (most likely) but I was wondering if sprint lets you upgrade your phones OS (from what I read its a carrier by carrier thing if they let you upgrade).

I know there are plenty of users here and probably had to deal with this in the past with windows mobile 5 so I was wondering if sprint has allowed such things in the past.

With WM most carriers offer a upgrade/fix one time to get rid of problems with the device when it was first release. Now this in no way means a major OS upgrade like going from WM5 to WM6. This is mostly becase a device normally can't support/run the new OS. And Sprint has offered update to WM. The 6700 got a very nice update last year, also my 700wx got a fix to it's SMS problem. If you want bigger and better thing you are better off searching forums like this for major upgrade. The thing is that you may end up with a unstable device or even bricking your device. Also you void any warrenties the device may come with.
