I bought a razr v3m from ebay. I asked on here if it would play mp3s as ringtones. I have heard that it does. My question is if I take it into Alltel to get it activated on my account, and Alltel does all the upgrades to it, will i still be able to set my mp3s as ringers? Will they be able to block that feature or is it just something they do with newer phones?
If you have a standard mini usb cable and want the newest software, just update it yourself. Only takes a few minutes. In as far as them blocking the use of mp3s, I don't see how they could really. I've got the latest firmware update on one of my v3ms and it still lets me set mps3 as ringers.
