Unlocking Nokias

    I called cingular and told them I needed my phone flashed and they did it. I told them I was recieving bad reception and she said no problem,but it did not fix the problem.

    That's interesting, I am not sure what they did do. My guess would be they sent you a OTA SIM upgrade. I don't think you can flash a phone to unbrand it OTA.

    Ok they could have just flashed the card I thought it was worth a try. I am out of ideas to get the mms working I can text message but no mms sending or receiving and that really stinks

    To get it flashed you'll probably need to take it/or send it to a Nokia service center. T-mobile and Cingular won't be able to flash it for you.

    ok I will give that a try I will have to find a Nokia Service Center. I will call them and see what they say. Thank you

    i have a nokia 6010 and i'm trying to use it w/ a US Cingular card.
    the IMEI:010418007630637
    and the Code:0523746IM20TI.
    and i have no idea what the restriction code is!!!

    E-Plus (BASE 12 month flatrate)/Vodafone Germany
    Only the provider you got the phone from has the subsidy/unlock code. You need to contact them or go to a shop in person/send your phone in to have it unlocked.

    Give http://www.iunlock.com a try.

    Lastly, don't post your IMEI in a forum, it's not something the whole world needs to know.
