unlocking codes for Moto v551 & v180, Cingular

    Need unlocking codes for these 2 former Cingular phones:

    Moto V180
    Moto V551

    Just call Cingular. Motorola phones cannot be unlocked via the Internet with codes, unless you get the code directly from Cingular or you go to someone who can do it via cable.

    Thanks! I knew someone here would know what to do. Got a bit of a run around from Cingular, but called them back after your message & got the codes.

    I have the Motorola phone tools and a data cable. I have seen some postings that hint at using the Motorola phone tools to unlock the phone. This seems too easy to be true. Can anyone confirm it?

    MPT cannot and will not unlock a phone. I highly recommend MotoUnlocker.com :: Motorola Unlock - Unimoto PLUS - MotoBlaze - Remote Unlocking Solution! if you want to unlock your phones yourself. I've used their services before and I was very pleased.
