I have a Verizon LG VX8300 and I'm trying to see if there's a way I can unlock this phone to use with my current T-Mobile service? I really need to know!!
the LG VX8300 is a CDMA phone........T-Mobile uses GSM technology......im not going to tell you the layed out acronyms cuz itll prolli just confuse you but the difference between CDMA and GSM is like the difference between AM and FM on your radio (thats how most people around here like to explain it so as to make it as simple as possible) so sorry your out of luck

For GSM the major GSM providers in the US are cingular and T-Mobile. There are some regional players that use GSM but the major national providers are the two listed.
yup out of luck but if you already unlocked your phone you can go to any cdma carrier(alltel,verizon[you already have that],sprint,theres probably more but those are the major cdma carriers
You can not activate any handset on Sprint unless that handset is either sold by Sprint or has been on their network.
