I'm thinking of getting a Blackjack, but I'm not sure how the internet would work since it's not a t-mobile phone and I'm sure I couldn't use Cingulars internet. Does anyone know how this would work? I really want a Blackjack.
You could use the Blackjack on TMobiles service, but you would have to configure the data settings in it to allow it to work properly on TMobiles network. TMobiles Data Configuration site in this link would be a good place for you to start. http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst
The Blackjack is an excellent phone. MobilePrincess has got it right. Just one other thing, you arent going to get 3G (close to broadband speeds) on T-Mobile's internet service. Youll only have EDGE which is fine for everyday surfing. When T-mobile launches their 3G network your phone wont be able to use it b/c it will operate on a different frequency. If the t-mo device config doesnt work then sometimes CS (depends on who you talk to) will help you setup internet. Enjoy the blackjack.
By the time TMobile finishes their 3G service, I think the OP Blackjack would need to be replaced anyway. Unless TMobile speeds up their roll out over the next few months.
hope the first 3G phone won't be Samsung (no way to change to unbranded fw) SE is the best, followed by nokia
moto is OK, but the most annoying is battery it runs out awful quick, only 6131 is worse SE is the best on battery, it lasts up to 5 days if you leave it idle all the time (this is rare)
The battery life on my V360 is average, but I have found the battery in both the V190 and the V195 that I use are awesome. I think Motorola either wised up with the battery that they put in these two phones or the fact that they are both low end feature phones may just be a contributing factor to the battery life lasting longer.
