unlock and completely restore 8 Plus

    I discovered an iPhone 8 Plus in a used sofa I acquired(plus $8 and some change)at the beginning of this year. I've waited all this time and no one has called for/about this phone. I'd say it safe to say the owner has given up on it and, by now, has had it replaced!(?) The phone is screen, activation and I'd guess, icloud locked.(?) I cannot get into this phone to discover who it may have belonged to. But, suffice to say, it's mine now. So, what must I do in order to be able to use this phone? I've recently looked up some on-line companies that claim they can unlock it, but I just don't know about their validity. I'd sure appreciate some good advice/help in being able to use this phone fully.

    I think the FBI paid just under one million dollars to crack the iPhone of the San Bernardino terrorist, so I think you are out of luck.
