T-Mobile is now offering unlimited SMS for $9.99!
until 1/31/05, when it goes to 1000 per month. Currently, they offer 1000 for 6.99. So, I wonder what will happen to that offer.
Right...I just signed up for the unlimited promo and as long as the 6.99 is still there around the last week of Jan, I will switch back to that. If it is gone, oh well, TM got me I guess.
Well if it's a promo for $9.99 until then for unlimited messages and afterwords 1,000 for the same price. I think most likely T-Mobile will cut the number of messages on the $6.99 plan or replace it with another price point for a certain number of messages.
That's what I was thinking. Backhanded price increase, potentially.
If that turns out to be the case that's fine...I need unlimited at least for this month since I am 300 messages away from 1000 with 3 weeks to go in my billing cycle.
I know that TMO charges 5 cents for incoming and outgoing. Do you send more or receive more TMO users?
I do about equal. The only person I Text message to is my girlfriend and usually our conversation is only an initial sent message and one recieved.
It would thrill me to no end if they just decided to keep it unlimited after January 31 2005.
but alas :thumbsdow
Over at Howard's it was posted by more than a few people that it would remain unlimited for people that add it before Oct 31. We'll see come the end of January though!
grrr I planned on ordering my phone in late October from Amazon. The Sharp phone that I want ships in 1-2 weeks. (why when the other phones ship in 24 hours?). I assume that the account does not become active until the SIM card is used for the first time. Which may be in November. Bugger!
I'm not sure...my account was actually activated the day after I placed my order but 4 days (two weekend days and two weekdays) before I received my phone. Then again, I ordered directly from a TM business rep.
As for the delay on the shipping of the phone, I guess Amazon has very low quantities and it is taking them up to 2 weeks to fill orders for that phone.
Makes sense. I can find very few people that actually own the phone.
I am getting so excited about something new.
I "Get More" with T-Mobile.
I "get more" too!
Sports updates, news reports, weather news, etc. That's on top of the regular SMS messages I exchange with people and my use of the AIM client on the phone.
Amazon activates the phone before they ship it, I believe.
More and more people are saying that the unlimited SMS will continue after 01/31/05. The rep that signed me up said the same. I sure hope it is true.
